Cameron Davenport

Managing Partner / Founder

Cameron is a veteran in the hospitality industry, having worked with guest ranches, fly fishing lodges, international resorts and adventure travel agencies.  He holds a unique ability to jump in and get to the root of the problem and come out with an answer. After successfully founding and launching Recreational Resort Specialists in 2011, he quickly recognized a greater demand and need within the industry than one individual could address. The opportunity led him to rethink and assess how and what would be required to address this service gap, and the answer was C4 Outdoor.

Cameron has managed the business and sales and marketing of numerous recreation-based resorts and lodges in North America and the Caribbean, including Turneffe Flats, Henry's Fork Lodge, Smith Fork Ranch, and Triple D Ranch. Some of his past and current C4 projects have been located in Brazil, Belize, Quebec, Labrador, Oregon and Idaho.

Damien Nurre

Operating Partner / Founder

For the past 17 years, Damien has worked in the recreation hospitality industry as a fly fishing guide, upland hunting guide, fly fishing outfitter, upland hunting preserve owner, lodge owner, adventure travel agent, and international lodge manager. Damien has consistently demonstrated the ability to create, grow, and sell hospitality businesses.

Armed with a unique understanding of digital marketing, strategic partnerships, and logistical management, Damien's vision for a high quality hunting, fishing, and lodging business was realized when he built Deep Canyon Outfitters, a successful guide business in Central Oregon. As owner and manager Damien navigated state and county requirements to secure the first conditional use permit for a private hunting preserve and guest ranch in Deschutes County.

In 2012 and 2015 DCO was named “Orvis Endorsed Expedition of the Year”. In 2014, Damien sold the hunting and lodging portions of the business. In 2016, he sold the fly fishing guide service.  In less than a decade DCO netted an increase in value of 580%.

Sarah Grigg

Writer / Content Manager

Sarah’s passion lies in going into the field, studying the character of a place and the people therein and returning to her desk to contemplate and communicate what that place and who those people are to an audience far greater than herself. She has a knack for envisioning final outcomes and identifying the best message to create content of the highest quality.

Her skill set expands far beyond writing. Sarah’s managed projects, people and properties and implemented landscape-scale strategies in highly collaborative contexts, such as the nonprofit, private and government sectors. She’s researched some of the rarest carnivores in North America (including grizzly bears and wolverines), coordinated major public education campaigns, managed a sustainable cattle ranch and a fly fishing lodge and planned events large and small. That past management experience, combined with creativity, has allowed her to take on media projects that require serious team efforts, ranging from scripting and producing outdoor and travel films to creating award-winning branded content.

Ken Clarke

Culinary Project Manager

Even in Ken's early days growing up on Long Island New York, food and creating memorable meals consumed his time.  When he turned eighteen, he threw a dart at the US map and wherever it landed he would make his home. It landed on Sisters, OR. So, he packed his bags and made the journey West.

Ken quickly fell into the groove in Sisters, fishing the Metolius River during the day and working the kitchen at The Lodge Restaurant at Black Butte Ranch. He quickly graduated his way to the top of the kitchen. As his notoriety grew, he was recruited to become Executive Chef at Han's Restaurant in Bend, OR. There, he perfected his methods and menus.  He also developed a refined palate tuned to create mouth-watering pastries and other desserts. Ken then earned a PhD in restaurant and kitchen management as a critical team member at the top restaurant of DC Ranch in Scottsdale, AZ. Upon returning to Bend, he worked with Damien to develop both the remote camp dining experiences and lodge dining at Deep Canyon Outfitters and Lodge.

Today, when he’s not consulting C4 Outdoor clientele on efficient and practical ways to net the most out of any kitchen, he’s the owner and Head Chef of Cascade Catering in Bend.
